The village is located approximately 10 minutes drive from the busy market town of Albox and thirty minutes from the beautiful coastal resorts of Vera, Mojácar, Garrucha and San Juan de los Terreros.
Arboleas produces citrus fruits, olives, almonds and cereals such as wheat and barley and has its own 24 hour medical centre, post office, town hall, communal swimming pool, infant and primary school, shops, banks and restaurants.  There is a school bus service to Albox for secondary school pupils.  Market days are Saturdays where you can buy a huge variety of products from locally grown produce to frying pans!
